RDA Newsflash - Review of remote participation and employment services consultations

On 29th July 2011, the Australian Government announced a review of remote participation and employment services. The review will look at a new model for Job Services Australia and the Community Development Employment Projects program in remote areas of Australia. The new arrangements are due to be in place by July 2013.

Consultation forums with people in remote communities, service providers, employers and other stakeholders will take place during August and September 2011. Submissions from the consultation will close in October.

The consultation schedule has been confirmed for New South Wales, and a provisional schedule for Queensland, Western Australia, South Australia and the Northern Territory is also available.
