Biggest shopping event in the Gulf
Saturday, 9 April 2016
Port Augusta enjoys an enviable natural setting at the head of the Spencer Gulf against a spectacular backdrop of the ancient Flinders Ranges. Join us in April 2016, as we celebrate the Great Outdoors!
Visitors will find their favourite kerbside retailers and stallholders plus an enormous array of specials and new products to make the most of our fantastic Great Outdoors!
The Augusta Markets is a biannual event which aims to increase vibrancy in the Commercial Road precinct of Port Augusta. An initiative of Regional Development Australia Far North in partnership with the Port Augusta City Council and Business Port Augusta, the event is back for its seventh market. Augusta Markets aims to build a stronger local economy with a focus on shopping locally to support local jobs and investment in our community. To complement Port Augusta businesses, we invite hobbyists and visiting stallholders to showcase the finest of South Australian handmade, hand-crafted and locally sourced products.
With entertainment throughout the day, the Augusta Markets is a brilliant event for adults, children and families.
Stallholder registrations open mid-February 2016.
Stallholders: If you are serving food of any kind, Port Augusta City Council requires that you complete and lodge a Food Business/Stall Notification Form. For more information or to acquire a form please phone Council on 8641 9100 or download here.
A fee of $27.50 is charged to stallholders, which is wholly spent on marketing the event. The only ones to profit from the markets are the stallholders.
Augusta Markets enquiries should be made to the Event Coordinator on 8641 1444 or email: AugustaMarkets@rdafn.com.au
