Grassroots Sports Funding Boost

The Office of Sport Recreation and Racing in Collaboration with the SACA and the SANFL will provide $6 million, while another $9 million will be chipped in by local councils, sports clubs, the Federal Liberal Government and other agencies.

“The funding will be used for many different upgrades including building family-friendly facilities so everyone from the family can be active and upgrading lighting to allow more sports to be played more often.

Round One of the Grassfoots Program is directly injecting $6 million into the facilities of the 20 successful applicants.

$100 Sports Vouchers Program

The program is open for parents and carers who are now able to claim $100 sports vouchers for their children, to use towards the cost of sport club fees or memberships.

Clubs wishing to register for the program and parents or guardians wanting to find a participating club in their area should go to www.sportsvouchers.sa.gov.au

The Government of SA has approved the Sports Vouchers program for a further four years Until 2021-22


Clubs SA/IGC Sponsorship Assistance Program

Together with the Independent Gaming Corporation (IGC), Clubs SA invites non gaming Clubs and community organisations to apply for Project Grants via its Sponsorship Assistance Program.

In recent years, over $2,000,000 has been directed back to the wider South Australian community under the auspices of the Sponsorship Assistance Program to support projects that include resurfacing of sports grounds, lighting, charity projects, community awareness campaigns and many more.

Applications for this Funding Program are accepted each month and are vetted by Club’s SA’s Board before recommendations are passed onto the IGC Board.

Boots for All Equipment Grant

Boots for All’s visions is to have an active and socially inclusive Australia through sport. The organisation exists to break down barriers to sport participating and strengthen communities by collecting and distributing quality, new and near-new sports equipment to vulnerable Australian’s and by providing volunteering and training.

Clubs SA/IGC Sponsorship Assistance Program

There are streams of funding available through Clubs SA for the not-for-profit sector, including clubs.

Planning and Research Program (PRP)

The PRP provides funding for planning and research initiatives that contribute to the delivery of facilities, programs and services that grow participation in active recreation and sport. Eligible applicants are to apply for up to $100,000 per application.

Applications are open year round allowing applicants to submit Expressions of Interest (EOI) for a project at any time.
