Far North SA Workforce Skills Report

Far North SA Workforce Skills Report

RDAFN carried out a workforce skills audit of the Far North SA region to ascertain employment, recruitment, and training needs into the future. This regional workforce & skills project was undertaken by Gibber Plain Solutions in conjunction with RDAFN over a seven month period from October 2011 to April 2012.

The project included collating and summarising information from existing research and new research of businesses and industry representatives, predominantly from within the region. The key component of new research was a business survey targeting small-medium employers in 'tourism and hospitality', 'retail', 'pastoral', 'mining', and 'other' sectors. The project collated 106 business survey responses. This represented 123 businesses employing 3,196 people. In addition, survey targeting community progress associations provided information representing 13 communities in the region.
